Spirals and Dots

I can spiral and dot all day long. What is it about them that I like so much?

Catching Up

Here are tiles number 11 and 12.  Back to work this week after a 3 week break.  I lost track of time, and I'm running behind on posting them online. I'll be posting today's tile a bit later.

I Could Have "Zenned" All Night...

The process of creating these tiles really is meditative.  I feel like I'm learning to color outside the lines. No limits. No boundaries.  I have no destination in mind.  I just let things flow randomly.  It's amazingly liberating.

As a Montessori teacher, my colleagues and I always say, "It's the process, not the result, that's important."  Engaging in the creation of these daily tiles, it is driven home to me yet again...It is the process that is important.

The time spent on the tiles has quickly become a sacred time during which I re-center and feel grounded.  I do my tiles mostly in the evening. After a hard day's work, I am nurtured and calmed by the tangles. It really is Zen.

Looks like a butterfly metamorphosing into a heart...or a moth that has a heart-shaped growth on its back.

Zentangle #1-4

My objective is to post one Zentangle a day as part of my 365 days of creativity journal project inspired by this book. Today is my fourth day "zentangling." For this post, I'm including my first three Zentangles with today's tile.

Two Years Later...

I haven't been doing much cooking and even less baking in the last two years. I'm going to start dipping my toe back in and start blogging again. I probably won't be doing much baking or cooking posts yet, but I will eventually. I've started this new year with knitting and crochet projects as well as committing myself to 365 days of Zentangles. Keeping my fingers crossed that I can stick to this.

Happy New Year! May you live this year to the fullest, with laughter, joy, love, yummy eye candies, and everything that fills your insides with bubbles of giddiness.
